Co-owned by Nick Foley, a longstanding Camberwell local, and Andrew Savvas, Gloria’s became a reality in 2021 following the end of dry-zone rules.

At the core of Gloria’s wine bar is its remarkable 180-strong wine wall, meticulously curated by sommelier Norman Houghton. With a mission to lead patrons beyond their comfort zones, Houghton suggests unique selections like the fizzy and playful Happy Nat pét-nat and the refreshing Tropo Little Red.

The cocktail list, though concise, features a standout creation by Foley—the Gloria’s Spritz, incorporating the local distillery Three Foxes’ Sunny Arvo Aperitivo for a delightful outcome.

When it comes to food, Gloria’s presents an array of suitably snackable options. Craft your own plate with a variety of soft and hard cheeses, cured meats, and Ned’s bread. Alternatively, indulge in the smoked paprika hummus, crafted by Savvas’s mom, immersed in chili oil and garnished with crispy shallots. For a heartier option, relish a pizza or the Greek-taverna-inspired pickled octopus.

Set within a former antiques-restoration store, Gloria’s exudes a charming lived-in quality. The intimate and inviting atmosphere is characterized by deep red walls, cream travertine floors, and a radiant golden chandelier casting a warm glow over the bar.
