Mixed Business Has Lebanese Snacks and Retro Cocktails
Address
59a Liberty Street, Enmore, New South Wales
About
Enmore’s 59 Liberty Street is the long-held address of the long-loved Lebanese eatery Emma’s Snack Bar. But if you slink down the side of the sleepy corner spot, you’ll find the entrance to a second venue from Anthony Sofy and his family: Mixed Business.
Sofy and his family grew up in this space, and the nostalgic wood-panelled fit-out reflects that.
The Lebanese-leaning menu comes from the kitchen downstairs. Past dishes have included spicy feta and bullhorn peppers, salt and vinegar potato scallops and a fried chicken sandwich finished with a healthy schmear of toum.
Whereas Emma’s is famously BYO, drinks are one of the defining features of Mixed Business. Like the interiors, the cocktail menu is a retro affair packed with old-school Vesper Martinis, Amaretto Negronis, and more. It’s rounded out by local and international beers, house wines, and flaming shots of Lebanese arak.
