Hosting a 400-strong vinyl collection for music fans to dig through, Deadwax – in the old Enmore Country Club space – welcomes all kinds music fans, from dad rock and iconic hip-hop lovers to indie and country. DJs spin on weekends, but vinyl request nights let punters get in on the fun.

Banquette seating runs alongside tables, ready to be pushed back for dancing. Drinks come from the homemade bar top – a swirling psychedelic beauty that involved layering and sanding down 70 pieces of resin-soaked denim.

You might go for honeydew and Midori-style drinks, a sesame oil Martini or a ponzu Old Fashioned. The simple food menu is on till last drinks, serving Wagyu pastrami sangas, taramasalata-topped crumpets and sour cream Pringles to swipe through Yuzu ranch and salmon roe.
